Sachi-chan’s Favorite Video Game~ The Sims!

Ohayou minna-san~♥! Sachi-chan desu! How are you all doing? I really want to say a quick ” Thank You” to all of you who were so nice about my who “false anticipation” problem. It really helped to have such support! ^_^

Alright, now …what shall I blog about today? *thinks* I know! I’ll blog about my absolute favorite game of all time: The Sims!

The Sims!

The Sims!

Note: This post is packed with my opinions. If anyone disagrees with them, I have no problem whatsoever, but I hope no one will take any of this personally. Thank you!

Anyway, so, I’ve been a big fan of The Sims for about as long as I can remember. My love of this awesome game was passed down to me by my older sister. She was always a Sims fan and when I became old enough to understand the game I fell in love with it too! I really don’t know any other game that comes close. I know different games suite different people, so I understand that some would prefer maybe a faster more action game, for example. But I’ve always loved simulation games, and especially “life” simulation games. So The Sims (“Sims” is short for simulation) is basically the perfect game for me!

OK, some of you may be reading this and thinking, What is high heaven is this girl talking about? If so, I’ll explain a little about The Sims games now.

First off, I’ll start by saying a little about the general plot of all of the Sims games:

Basically, the objective of all Sims games is just to… live. In the Sims games (at least the ones for PC), there’re hardly ever any real obligations or things you have to do to “win”. You choose just about everything about the kind of lives you want your sims to live. You choose whether you want them to live happily ever after, or a life of drama and issues. It’s really the ultimate simulation game.

One of the main things that I love so much about The Sims games are the many possibilities to expand the game. At first when you just install, for example, The Sims 2 base game, life is just simple, you just live, work, eat, sleep socialize etc. That can be fun, but after a certain amount of time, that gets kinda boring, doesn’t it? That’s where expansion packs come in. The makers of The Sims games are always busy working on their latest expansion pack (unless of course a totally new base game is coming out soon – such as The Sims 3!!!). Expansion packs do exactly what they imply. They expand the game.

The Sims 2 Expansion Packs

The Sims 2 Expansion Packs

Lemme give a quick example:

When I buy The Sims 2 (base game), I can just live (not too many special things to do). But if I buy “The Sims 2 University Expansion Pack*”, I can send my teenage kids to college so they can get good jobs. And then if I buy “The Sims 2 Bon Voyage Expansion Pack*”, I can do that (send my kids to college) and go on awesome vacations. Then if I buy “The Sims 2 Pets Expansion pack*”, I can have pets as part of the family. And so on.

So each time you install an expansion pack, you expand the game more and more. And it’s that ever-growing-ness that keeps The Sims games interesting. You’re still playing the same game with your same families, but the game itself is always growing, getting more and more possibilities. Pretty cool, ne? n.n

Ok, I think that’s enough of my babbling on about this game now… I just can’t wait until the newest Sims game, The Sims 3 comes out next year!!! *v*/!!!

So, I’d love to know, What are your favorite games? Why do you like them so much?

Right! Sachi-chan must leave now…

Musical Ignorance •___•

Ohayou minna-san~¤! Sachi-chan here, speaking to you! How are you all?

Kanji for Beauty

Kanji for Beauty

Yay! Did you see the post from Yoshi?! Finally a response! Too bad it’s such a short post u_u. Thank you for finally posting, Yoshi-kun! And I hope you’ll continue posting often, instead of having me here all alone having to take care of this blog all alone ;_;. Hmmm, I wonder if Nami-chan‘s going to post any time soon… •___•{…]

Moving on… At the moment I’m trying to learn a seemingly simple piano piece. It’s the piano piece for “Love Song” by Sara Bareilles. [Listen to the song below]

It’s a pretty nice song, but what I really like about it specifically, is the cool, simple piano chords. See, I’m no pianist, but I feel that one should always have a few memorized songs that he/she knows how to play on the piano, just so that he/she doesn’t look “un-musical”@_@.

OK, so although I’m a guitarist (although I’m nowhere near an expert) and I know a lot about music (since my dad’s a big-time musician), I’m not very gifted on the piano T_T. But dispite this, I still think that it’s important to know some songs on the piano so I can seem impressive on that instrument too^. ~.

Anyway, so that’s why when I heard this song, and the piano part seemed simple, but still somewhat impressive, I decided to do my best to try and learn that piece. So that’s something that I’m currently working on at the moment. Of course I needed some good help in order for my clumsy self to actually learn a piece like this u.u. That’s why I found this video (below) on Youtube , which is a really helpful tool in learning this song. So now I already know all the notes, all I have to do is practice.

So, to all who would like to learn this song too, you may make use of this video. You know what? Since I’m in a good mood ^_^, I’ll also post the lyrics to the song just in case anyone would like to sing it.

Head under water
And you tell me
To breathe easy for awhile
The breathing gets harder
Even I know that
Made room for me
It’s too soon to see
If I’m happy in your hands
I’m unusually hard to hold on to

Blank stares at blank pages
No easy way to say this
You mean well but you make this hard on me

I’m not gonna write you a love song
Cause you ask for it
Cause you need one
You see, I’m not gonna write you a long song
Cause you tell me it’s make or breakin’ this
If you’re on your way
I’m not gonna write you to stay
If all you have is leavin’
I’m gonna need a better reason
To write you a love song

I learned the hard way
That they all say
Things you wanna hear
My heavy heart sinks deep down under
You and Your twisted words
Your help just hurts
You are not what I thought you were
Hello to high and dry

Convinced me to please you
Made me think that I need this too
I’m trying to let you hear me as I am

I’m not gonna write you a love song
Cause you asked for it
Cause you need one
You see, I’m not gonna write you a love song
Cause you tell me it’s make or breakin’ this
If you’re on your way
I’m not gonna write you to stay
If all you have is leavin’
I’m gonna need a better reason
To write you a love song today

Promise me
You’ll leave the light on
To help me see
The daylight my guide, gone
Cause I believe
There’s a way
You can love me
Because I say

I won’t write you a love song
Cause you ask for it
Cause you need one
You see, I’m not gonna write you a love song
Cause you tell me it’s make or breakin’ this
Is that why you wanted a love song?
Cause you asked for it
Cause you need one
You see I’m not gonna write you a love song
Cause you tell me it’s make or breakin this
If you’re on your way
I’m not gonna write you to stay
If your heart is nowhere in it
I don’t want it for a minute
Babe, I walk the seven seas
When I believe that there’s a reason to write you a love song

OK, um, I’m not sure those lyrics are all right… I hope so. If not, comment and let me know, I’ll edit the mistakes.

Hey! Speaking of learning music. Yoshi asked me to teach him some guitar skills today o.o… I’m not sure I’m the best teacher, but I guess I’ll try my best. Who knows, maybe he’ll even be able to outplay me someday… but as long as I’m his guitar sensei, I’ll have to make sure that doesn’t happen ^_-.

I gotta go now. But let me know, what instruments do you play, if any and if not which would you like to learn? Can you sing? Sachi-chan can sing, but only in her shower. -___- *LOL*

Konbanwa minna-san! It’s me MK doing a really quick post here, since I’m running a pretty tight schedule today. And then tomorrow, my families going overseas for the weekend so I probably won’t get much chance to blog then.

Anyway, so as many of you know, there’s been a whole lot of commotion going on about the new movie Twilight. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen it yet (and I probably won’t get to see it any time soon T_T), but I’ve read much about it and I absolutely love the plot of the story, it’s so unusual and interesting *_*. Still, some have said that the movie’s not really all that it’s propped up to be u.u…

So, here’s a trailer from the movie…

Hmmm, seems pretty interesting, don’t you think? ^.^

OK, so, I gotta rush off right about now -_-. Sorry this post is so short today…

Oh! What do y’all think of the movie? Has anyone seen it? If so, is it as good as you thought it would be?

Again, this is MK signing off now!

MK’s Observations

Ohayou gozaimasu! MK desu! How’s it going? *sigh* These days have been very simple empty days for MK. By empty I don’t necessarily mean lazy or not busy days, but… these days have been very… regular.

Kanji for LOVE!3

Kanji for LOVE!<3

Note: Have any of you noticed that the tattoo on Gaara’s (from Naruto) forehead is this^ sign? So he’s got “love” written on his forehead! ❤ I love that! (He’s one of my favorite characters n_n)

Anyway, so today I’m going to tell y’all a little about a pretty… weird interest of mine. OK, I have this interest in male behaviour that seems to have been there for about as long as I can remember.

I always pay keen attention to the way guys think, act and feel about different things. I really think it’s super intriguing how different guys are to girls and, for example, how they get all protective and stuff about girl/women they care about (T_T!!! So beautiful!*_*)

Anyway, so I plan to share some of my researches and discoveries with you all! ^.^ I find them very interesting and cool, maybe you’ll think so too?

OK, so here’s something interesting that I dug up the other day about men and love ♥!

“I can sleep with her, marry her, take care of her, but love – that’s something else,” said Tony, a married man in his late forties. “Guys don’t like to talk about love. They don’t know what to say. Of course guys do love. But they express it differently.”

Despite this fact, most women do not feel happy unless they hear those golden words, I love you. Men need to hear them as well. And yet, as much as men want love, many fight it to the last minute. Love can make men feel vulnerable, childlike, and unable to do what’s expected of them.”

From: The Different Ways Men Say “I Love You”.

OK, so that’s something I found interesting (though I can’t guarantee that you’ll feel the same way x.x)
… but MK must go now!

Into my sketchbook

Hello, MK again!

I recently said I’d post some of my artwork just as soon as I got my scanner fixed. But I’ve been trying to figure out what the problem is in vain. I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to get my drawings scanned any time soon. So I’ve decided to just use my camera. And since I’m also a horrible photographer (my pictures often come out blurry), I apologize for any problems seeing any of these *bows*-_-.

Here are some of my manga drawings!

Sorry, this one's a bit hard to see

Alright, so that was a little peek into my sketchbook. I know, I know, I’m not very good yet, but I’m definitely much better than I was before (I was even more of a noob before T_T).

So what do you think? Do you like any of them, per chance? Or do they stink -_-? If so, any tips on how I could get better? I’d really appreciate tips!

My love of Manga and Anime!

Ohaiyou everyone! This is MK posting once again!

OK, today I don’t really have much to blog about, given I’ve been having some pretty sour days lately – friend problems, school problems, staying at home all day, doing nothing -_-. So I decided to blog some about two of my top interests,

Manga and Anime ^.^

I know many of you are probably also interested in Manga and Anime, making this an even more suitable topic to blog about!

How I became a manga and anime fan

Ok, about a year or two ago, I bumped into this guy at our school who’s a really talented artist. He normally just draws regular drawings of random things like horses or people. But this time he showed me a manga that he was drawing. I was completely blown away, because I had never seen someone hand draw a manga before (I know, I don’t get out much). So I was totally inspired to try to learn to draw manga. I had always wished I had a natural talent with art, but that’s just not the case, anyway, I was inspired right then and there to learn to draw manga!^.^ So I inquired to the art teacher about how I could learn to draw manga. She told me to check out some sites online about it. I did and I slowly started learning techniques and improving my horrible drawing skills.

At this time I was still not really interested in reading manga or watching anime yet, but after some time, I was at a friend’s house when I saw that she was reading some manga books on her computer. I initially joined her only because I knew it’d help me draw better manga if I got more used to how it looks. But after a while I wasn’t only focusing on the art at all! It was pretty fun! So from then on I started to have an interest in Manga and Anime.

Ok, so the some of the manga that I really really like are:

Me and My Brothers!

Me and My Brothers!

  • Me and My brothers – A story about a 14-year-old girl who becomes an orphan and is left to her four older brothers who she only knew when she was too young to remember. It’s a very funny comedy! At least I think so.
  • Kare first LoveA romance about a nerdy girl who meets a really confident handsome rich guy. The story follows their bumpy relationship. I LOVE SHOUJOS (romance manga’s)!
  • Hana-KimiA shoujo about a girl who disguises herself as a boy and enters a boys’ boarding school to meet her idol – a teenage high jumper named Izumi Sano. She also meets a really funny guy named Nakatsu (I think) who falls in love with her and starts to think he’s gay because he thinks she’s a guy. °~° Kinda confusing, I know. *LOL*

Yea, those are basically my favorite manga’s for now. OK, now for my favorite anime:

  • ChobitsAbout a guy who finds a persocom (some kind of a super smart robot computer – looks just like a person). When he finds her she knows hardly anything and the only word she can say is “Chi” and therefore he calls her “Chi”. The story follows the guy as he teaches Chi all kinds of things and discovers the secrets of Chii’s past (ooooh!!O.O).

  • NanaA shoujo about two girls named Nana who meet in a train and end up being room mates. They are completely opposites. One Nana (also called Hachi by the other Nana) is very perky and childish whereas the other Nana, is an edgy, lead singer of a rock band. Despite their differences they become the best of friends! ^_^
  • Ai Mai Mi Strawberry Eggs! – A shoujo about a guy who applys for a job at a school near where he lives. He gets rejected by the school because he is a man and the school is a really weird girls’ boarding school when it is taught that men are all evil savages! He disguises himself as a woman and applies again and gets accepted. At the school he and one of the students start to fall in love with each other 0.0… yea, you’ll have to watch it for the rest. It’s an awfully weird anime.

Yep, those are some of the manga’s I’ve read and anime I’ve watched. I gotta go watch my scheduled program now! *LOL*

Sayounara everyone!
